Waterways
16.9 - 14.10, 2001
Come with Göran Dalhov along the waterways of the Swedish west coast, in French Provence and through the dramatic landscape of Wales. His apt brush and sharp eye enable us to share in his enjoyment of natural phenomena, flora and fauna. While rooted in a classic watercolour tradition with influences from England he nevertheless lives close to the everyday and in touch with global environmental concerns.

Nature |
9.10, 2001 - 27.1,
2002
The autumn exhibition programme treated the countryside and the environment. Complementing the exhibitions were works from the museum's own collections on the same theme. Under the collective heading 'Nature' ten Nordic artists presened their impressions of our surroundings, all of them working from their own conditions and experience. From urban landscape to Scandinavian fjelds and the oceans of the world - these where personal interpretations by interesting contemporary artists using varied watercolour techniques. |

Ships' Portraits |
9.12 - 27.1, 2002
This was an exhibition of ships' portraits from two different archipelagoes -Tjörn in Sweden and Åland in Finland - where maritime trade is still of major importance. But this is far from being an exhibition by local or even provincial talents; these ships' portraits were frequently commissioned in ports abroad and are the work of experienced painters who have acquired great technical skill in the depiction of water, sky and ship with all relevant details.
