On stage
Grund / Moto Boy

info
The backbone of Moto Boy’s music has always been its distinctive sound, the melodies, and his unique voice – a blend of sacred boys’ choir music, synth-pop, and an almost jazz-influenced guitar style.
The list of what Moto Boy (whose real name is Oskar Humlebo) has accomplished since his 2007 debut is long. In addition to his own albums and countless international concerts, both solo and as a member of The Cardigans, Moto Boy has performed roles in operas, musicals and theatre productions, as well as created tribute concerts to Lana Del Rey. He has also appeared as a guitarist with The Ark and supported, among others, Smashing Pumpkins and Suede.
In 2024, Moto Boy returned with a long-awaited full-length album written and recorded during the remarkable years of 2020–2023. Drown out the noise received fantastic reviews and a great deal of attention. Moto Boy has said that it is “without doubt his best album” and that it will be his final record under his stage name. Whether it truly is the last we’ll hear from Moto Boy remains to be seen, but there is no doubt that Oskar Humlebo is one of Sweden’s most distinctive and gifted artists.
We look forward to a magical evening with Moto Boy on our Grund stage on 13 March!

GÅ PÅ GRUND! ('RUN AGROUND')
The concept behind "Grund" is produced by Tjörn Municipality and The Nordic Watercolour Museum. The idea is to offer a broad spectrum of music by exciting artists in an intimate setting at a great price. We believe in exciting encounters between the musician, audience and natural surroundings, where flashy stage shows are not allowed to get in the way of the music. And we believe that is an excellent ground on which to stand. / Steget, Emil Jensen, GERD, Alice Boman, Arvid Nero, Iiris Viljanen, Loney dear, Bror Gunnar Jansson, Christian Kjellvander, Kristofer Åström, Maja Francis, Franska Trion, Mattias Alkberg, Sophie Zelmani, José Gonzáles, El Perro Del Mar, Mikael Wiehe, Vasas Flora & Fauna, Jens Lekman, Joel Alme, Frida Hyvönen, Anna Järvinen, Marit Bergman, Hanna Järver, Edda Magnasson och Niki & the Dove
