A performance about how memories, experiences and relationships are passed on.
Using the concept of "heritage" as its artistic starting point, Teater Spera explores how memories, experiences and relationships are passed on and embodied. Through movement, voice and poetic text, the performance examines the traces we carry with us – consciously and unconsciously – and how they continue to shape our lives.
ARV ("Heritage") has evolved through artistic residencies at The Nordic Watercolour Museum in 2026, by Teater Spera, consisting of performing artists Frida Brandt and Sandra Saied. Since the spring, the project has developed through a series of public work-in-progress readings, where visual art, performing arts and poetic text have met in dialogue with the museum's exhibitions. The process will conclude with a final reading in September before the performance premieres at the Avtryck Festival in October. Read more about the project
Before the performance, you are invited to a guided tour of the current exhibition featuring works by Britta Marakatt-Labba, whose art has been an important source of inspiration in the creation of ARV. The guided tour offers a deeper insight into the exhibition and forms part of the overall artistic experience, where visual art and performing arts meet.
