Grund / Bror Gunnar Jansson

info
2019 was the year when Bror Gunnar Jansson had his breakthrough at home in Sweden after several years of success abroad. He could be seen on the Swedish television show På Spåret and released his fourth album They Found My Body in a Bag, as well as participated in SVT productions such as Babel , Kulturnyheterna and Augustifamiljen live. He tours intensively around the world and in France his album was among the three best-selling in the jazz/blues category in the years 2017 and 2019.
Bror Gunnar Jansson's latest album Faceless Evil, Nameless Fear (2021) is his heaviest and hardest yet. But, paradoxically, also the most languishingly beautiful. Like a suite, the album moves from emotional string parts to heavy riffs, and sometimes there are moments when everything seems to want to burst. Bror Gunnar oscillates between everyone's reality and his own dark universe. Whether performing solo or with a band, Bror Gunnar Jansson unleashes a mix of what has been described as southern gothic, blues, folk and psychedelia.
We look forward to having Bror Gunnar Jansson as the first Grund concert artist in 2023!

GÅ PÅ GRUND! ('RUN AGROUND')
The concept behind "Grund" is produced by Tjörn Municipality and The Nordic Watercolour Museum. The idea is to offer a broad spectrum of music by exciting artists in an intimate setting at a great price. We believe in exciting encounters between the musician, audience and natural surroundings, where flashy stage shows are not allowed to get in the way of the music. And we believe that is an excellent ground on which to stand. / Previous artists on our stage: Christian Kjellvander, Kristofer Åström, Maja Francis, Franska Trion, Mattias Alkberg, Sophie Zelmani, José Gonzáles, El Perro Del Mar, Mikael Wiehe, Vasas Flora & Fauna, Jens Lekman, Joel Alme, Frida Hyvönen, Anna Järvinen, Marit Bergman, Hanna Järver, Edda Magnasson and Niki & the Dove
