Watercolour Course / Value & Hues
This event has passed
info
This course includes a lot of theory, intertwined with demonstrations, individual practical exercises and free work, as well as analysis of the day’s work. We take a deep dive into value painting and work with conscious compositions and colour chords. There will be a lot of colour theory, along with exercises in mastering contrasts. As well as colour contrasts, we also work with other opposites: hard/soft, warm/cold, pure/impure hues, distinct/diffuse and so on. The emphasis is on improving our value painting, partly through monochrome exercises (also known as grisaille painting).
