Exhibition Opening

info
Warmly welcome to inaugurate the autumn exhibitions with us. The Nordic Watercolour Museum’s anniversary year concludes with three major visual storytellers: Peter Köhler, Johan Thurfjell, and Vanessa Baird. Each artist contributes their own distinctive voice to this presentation, where three unique visual languages weave separate narratives, independent of one another. The mood and energy shift throughout the exhibition spaces. In Peter Köhler’s dizzying visual world – drawn from folklore, the occult, and esotericism – the familiar order of reality is upended. Johan Thurfjell’s work leads us directly into great and small mysteries, navigating the boundaries between dream and wakefulness, life and death, light and darkness. Vanessa Baird’s latest large-scale works are furious testimonies to the suffering taking place across various parts of the world.
