Workshop: Invasive Species
- 6–7 JUN 11.00 AM–2.00 PM
- The Open Studio

info
Lupins, Japanese knotweed, Pacific oysters, and Asian shore crabs – which other invasive species can you name? In this workshop, you are invited to paint, drawing inspiration from species that have found their way into the wrong environment. Learn to recognise animals and plants that have spread along the Bohus Coast and deepen your observation skills by portraying them in watercolour. By learning to identify invasive species, we can do nature a great service.
The workshop is unstaffed, but you are warmly welcome to sit down and enjoy watercolour painting at your own pace. Materials are provided free of charge. Drop-in.

What can I do to prevent the spread of invasive species?
Private individuals play a crucial role in stopping the spread of invasive alien species. It mainly involves doing the right thing when encountering them. To do this, one must learn to recognise them. Read more on the website of Naturvårdsverket ("The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency") by clicking here.
