Grund / Kristofer Åström

info
Kristofer Åström's expression cannot be mistaken. The naked, rarely raised voice and the straight, touching lyrics have a rare ability to get the audience to listen. As a singer/songwriter, Kristofer has always been a personality with relentless artistic integrity.
Åström's musical career began in the 1990s as a guitarist, singer and songwriter in the band Fireside. The band released six studio albums and toured extensively in both Europe and the United States. The solo debut came in 1998 with the album Go Went Gone. Kristofer received more attention as a solo artist in 2001 with the Grammy-nominated album Northern Blues and the hit song All lovers hell, which has since been played more than 2 million times on Spotify. Since the beginning of his solo career, Åström has released several albums, of which the latest Hard Times was released in 2020. He has collaborated with many great artists and been nominated for several awards. Today, over twenty years later, he is still just as creative.
We are delighted to be able to present Kristofer Åström on our stage.

GÅ PÅ GRUND ('RUN AGROUND')
The concept behind "Grund" is produced by Tjörn Municipality and The Nordic Watercolour Museum. The idea is to offer a broad spectrum of music by exciting artists in an intimate setting at a great price. We believe in exciting encounters between the musician, audience and natural surroundings, where flashy stage shows are not allowed to get in the way of the music. And we believe that is an excellent ground on which to stand.
