During this lecture, Bera Nordal takes us into the world of art and reflects on its influence on our time. Drawing from her experience as the director of National Gallery of Iceland (1987–1997), Malmö Konsthall (1997–2002), and The Nordic Watercolour Museum (2002–), she discusses the significance of art and its capacity to shape our culture and society.
Tonight's lecture is not solely a retrospective. Together, we delve into the future prospects for museum institutions and their role in a complex social climate. How can museums continue to be relevant and inspiring for future generations? And what role will art and culture play in tomorrow's society?
