Exhibition opening

info
A larger selection of Christine Ödlund's works will be exhibited at The Nordic Watercolour Museum during the period 13 October 2024–2 February 2025.
Ödlund's art is built on cross-pollination. A sensory impression is perceived and interpreted by other senses. The artist has painted pictures with light, played music for nettles and orchids, and listened to the voices of ferns. Ödlund’s paintings, sculptures and video works remind us that nature is cyclical. The exhibition This Garden and its Spirits at The Nordic Watercolour Museum offers us the opportunity to reconsider our relationship with nature and plants and opens up a dialogue about the limits of what we see and experience.
We now invite you to the opening at The Nordic Watercolour Museum and welcome everyone to celebrate with us.

Christine Ödlund / This Garden and its Spirits
Christine Ödlund's (b. 1963) art is built on cross-pollination. Sound and image, nature and culture, physics and metaphysics often interact in her complex installations. In her artistic language, traditional boundaries break down. One sensory impression is captured and interpreted through another. Her works explore the possibility of transcending the language barrier between humans and nature, and the barriers between the invisible and the visible.

On the same day as the opening, the museum hosts one of its popular trade-in days at 12 noon–4 pm. Bring a maximum of ten items that you wish to exchange and swap them for something someone else has brought. To reuse instead of buying new is one of many climate-smart choices that contribute to a more sustainable society.
