The Tjörnjazz Association presents:
The Second Line Jazzband was formed in 1989 in Gothenburg when the majority of its members were still teenagers. Today, three of the band's six original members are still part of the group. Since then, Second Line has earned a reputation as one of the most popular traditional jazz bands in Europe, having performed at clubs, festivals, radio, and TV shows in the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Lithuania, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and, of course, Sweden. The band's popularity is perhaps attributed to the musicians' ability to seamlessly transition between styles, repertoires, and musical directions during a concert, all while preserving the essence of its New Orleans influences.
