About the artists
Stefan Ceder:
It is easy to compare Stefan Ceder's images with poetry or improvisational music. An intuitive flow where the expression lands in the borderland between the abstract and the figurative, where dream and reality blend together. Environments that have not previously seen the light of day emerge during the work. Vulnerability and transience are recurring themes.
“Stefan Ceder has the ability to create atmospheric scenery with both a dark and a light color scheme. They vibrate with feelings of abandonment and at the same time expectations that something will happen in the picture in the next moment "
– from a review by Tommy Lindholm, Kvällsposten Malmö.
Annett Florén:
"To never get lost is not to live, not knowing how to get lost leads to doom and somewhere in this terra incognita there is a life where one discovers things," writes Rebecka Solnit.
This is how Annett Florén relates to her work – chance, what happens and arises, often by mistake, become opportunities that she tries to see and take advantage of. Her main medium is clay, usually with the vessel shape as a starting point and she burns her objects in a wood or gas stove.
What fascinates her most are the structures and surfaces that are being created through different ways of processing the clay – she presses, throws, pulls and uses the unique plastic properties of the clay. These surfaces are set against each other and thus create exciting meetings and strong expressions. Annett Florén is educated at HDK-Keramikkonst in Gothenburg and got her Master's degree in 1990.

About Tjörns Konstförening
Tjörn's Konstförening ("Tjörn's Art Association") was formed in the early 1960s. The purpose of the association is to increase the understanding of art by supporting the schools' work, arranging exhibitions, lectures, study circles and art trips. Every year a summer exhibition is held, where one or several artists are presented. The association also arranges art trips. In addition, the board makes continuous studio visits to local artists. The membership fee is used, among other things, for art purchases of works that are raffled off annually in the association. The association currently has about 200 members and is part of the National Association of Swedish Art Associations. If you want to know more about the association and how to become a member, please visit their website.
