About
Jenny Lucander (born 1975) is a picture book artist and illustrator. She works with pencil, coloured pencil, watercolour, and gouache, as well as digitally. Line work and illogical perspectives play an important role in her imagery. For Lucander, illustration is more than conveying a beautiful image or a well-balanced composition. It is about visual storytelling – communicating a feeling, a scent, or a state of mind. In spring 2026, her work is being shown in the exhibition "Kollektivet / Picture Book Illustration from Finland" at The Nordic Watercolour Museum.

Participating artists: Linda Bondestam, Jenni Erkintalo, Lena Frölander-Ulf, Edith Hammar, Maija Hurme, Erika Kallasmaa, Jenny Lucander, Laura Merz, Sanna Pelliccioni and Maria Sann
