Västerhavsveckan / Workshop with SMHI & The Museum

info
Dive into the hidden wonders beneath the surface with Markus Lindh, Laboratory Manager at SMHI's oceanographic department. Together, we explore the microscopic habitat of plankton – the tiny organisms that are vital to our planet! These remarkable creatures form the foundation of life in the oceans and produce a significant proportion of the oxygen we breathe.
Inspired by the artists Asger Jorn and Per Kirkeby, who also explored nature’s forms, movements and layers, we bring science and creativity together. Following a shared introduction, we continue our work in the studio, experimenting with watercolours and creating our own interpretations of the rhythms, structures and interplay of colours that can be discovered in the world of plankton.
All ages welcome! Admission free, but pre-booking is required.
