Bodily mechanics and mechanical poetry, where old technology meets contemporary circus.
Automata akrobata with Arenaslöjd lets the skilled hands of craftsmanship and the physically intelligent bodies of the circus, meet the power of mechanics. Old technology merges with contemporary circus, and a medieval lathe is transformed into an fantastical universe filled with sound, light and constantly moving mechanical sculptures.
The Circus Lathe, our mechanical helper, plays a key role. What if a circus artist didn’t have to lift their partner high above their head and instead let gears and cranks do the work? Or why not let the circus lathe spin the skipping rope while the handles are being made at the same time?

Recommended age: 4 years–family
Admission: 50 SEK for adults, free under 18 years of age
