Mystery imbues the motifs, which are distinctly figurative yet impossible to approach in an overly confident manner. These quirky staged scenes spawn new mythologies. The seemingly realistic tableaus guard the integrity of the characters and deftly evade the viewer’s imagination in its futile search for solutions and answers. Per-Ivar Lindekrantz was educated at the Umeå Academy of Fine Arts and the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm.
