Glenn Sorensen
- Sweden/Australia, 1968

Glenn Sorensen has worked in oils and watercolour since he started his artistic career at the close of the 1980s. His watercolours are very subtle and personal. His inspiration derives from everyday life and his subjects are simple. Sorensen paints potted plants, flowers, furniture, cushions. He views them from unexpected angles, from the side or above. They are often sited away from the centre of the paper and cut off at the edges as if about to leave the frame. Large areas of the paper are often left empty. His colour range is limited to a few tones, mostly pastel shades of yellow, pink, lilac and green, applied with light, delicate brushstrokes. Glenn Sorensen was born in Australia, but he lives and works in Sweden. Sorensen was educated at the City Art Institute in Sydney and the Helsinki Academy of Fine Arts.
