- Norway, 1967

Torgeir Husevaag creates his art in the field between scientific research, game theories and graphic illustrations. Since leaving the art academy in Oslo in 2000, he has carried out several major projects. In one of the latest, he creates a deck of cards based on media events and maps cyclists’ movement patterns in Bejing. The works in The Nordic Watercolour Museum’s collection are part of a series of drawing projects carried out in accordance with strict rules 1999-2003. He drew with a steel pen with 2 mm rounded tip and used liquid ink. Based on a given form of origin, he would then draw lines close to each other, but without merging. If he made a mistake, he must do a ”penalty round”, dilute the ink with water and turn the drawing direction. He worked with each image for two hours. Time, evolution and organic growth of structures are some of the themes that the project came up with.
