Blade Runner – The Aquarelle Edition

Anders Ramsell from Östersund has painted thousands of watercolours to create, frame by frame, a tribute to Ridley Scott’s film Blade Runner. His goal is not to produce an exact replica, but rather to capture and explore the film’s emotions and atmosphere.
In the summer of 2012, the first part of the project was released on YouTube, and people around the world have since been captivated by this remarkable undertaking. In the spring of 2013, the film was shown at The Nordic Watercolour Museum, with Anders Ramsell himself presented the project. The work was also featured in the spring exhibition at Liljevalchs in 2013.
We are delighted to present more of the work. During the summer of 2013, the museum will be showing Anders Ramsell’s film alongside selected original watercolours from the project.
