Colourful Stories– from the Museum Collection
The Nordic Watercolour Museum has highlighted picture books as an artform for several years. We do this as part of our aim to explore the history of traditional watercolour in relation to the contemporary. Ever since the first picture books began to be produced in the 19th century, watercolour techniques have played a major part in the creation of illustrations for this kind of literature. This is reflected in the museum's art collection, where original works by several of our most important picture book artists are represented. In this exhibition, you will see a selection of these artists.
Participating artists: Anna Bengtsson, Gunilla Bergström, Eva Lindström, Marisol Misenta (ISOL), Gry Moursund and Harriët van Reek
