Oceans of Time– from the Museum Collection
As a medium, watercolours are a testament to time as a paradoxical phenomenon. Time can go quickly and slowly; it can feel familiar or as if it has vanished; it is both relative and constant. Watercolours are nimble and tend to travel between areas of water accumulation, while the medium simultaneously requires patience and care from the artist. The momentary and oceans of time stand in stark contrast to one another, yet still they interact in watercolour pieces. The exhibition presents artists who relate to time and the world in various ways, and who have attempted to capture fleeting moments on paper.
Participating artists: Line Bergseth, Saara Ekström, Bernd Koberling, Anna Ling and Eva Vilne
