Welcome to The Nordic Watercolour Museum during Easter! 🐣
Easter is an excellent time for creativity and inspiration, and The Nordic Watercolour Museum in Skärhamn is the perfect place to experience both. With a range of activities planned, the museum is ready to welcome visitors of all ages to explore art and enjoy the season.
Maundy Thursday, 28 March: at 11 am–4 pm
Good Friday, 29 March: at 11 am–4 pm
Easter Eve, 30 March: at 11 am–4 pm
Easter Sunday, 31 March: at 11 am–4 pm
Easter Monday, 1 April: at 11 am–4 pm (additional opening hours!)
During these days, we offer guided tours (in Swedish) every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday at 2 pm. It's a great opportunity for those who want a deeper insight into the museum's current exhibitions and the featured artists.
The museum not only offers tours but also workshops where you can try watercolour painting. It's a chance to learn new techniques and let your creativity flow. Read more about our Easter holiday workshop
If you'd rather explore the museum on your own, you can always borrow one of our Discovery Bags. These are filled with tools and tasks, especially selected to inspire art experiences in new and playful ways. The contents of the bags vary depending on the exhibition, and currently, they include magnifying glasses, spy glasses, dice, and hourglasses. You can find the Discovery Bags by the elevator in the reception.
Don't forget to visit Vatten Restaurang & Kafé to awaken your taste buds. The restaurant offers a menu featuring the best ingredients the season has to offer, all while taking in the stunning water views. Or why not sit down for a good coffee in the café?
Bring family and friends to create memories that last long after the daffodils have faded. We look forward to welcoming you to an Easter at The Nordic Watercolour Museum.
