info

Welcome to the museum to look at art and create something of your own.

There are many works of art in The Nordic Watercolour Museum's collection. We often see them grouped together in various exhibitions. What happens if we highlight them one work at a time?

On one Thursday evening every month, we put one original work from our art archive on display. The work becomes the starting point of the workshop and conversations in Fria verkstaden ("the free studio"). Coffee and tea is on us. From 12 years.

Read more about the art

The collection is an essential and vital part of the museum. One of The Nordic Watercolour Museum's goals is to highlight watercolour as a living and aesthetically powerful element in our contemporary visual culture. We explore the possibilities of watercolour and spread knowledge about how artists today and throughout history have used water and pigments to create art.
