Olav Christopher Jensen
- Norway, 1954

Olav Christopher Jenssen, sculptor and painter, explores the possibilities and borders of art. In his works Olav Christopher Jenssen explores the potentials and limits of painting. The exhibition gallery and the physical conditions it imposes often play a special role in his artistic experiments. Olav Christopher Jenssen’s watercolours are delicate explorations of colour and form, painted with a soft hair brush. The same distinctive figures recur in a series of horizontal and vertical variations. The forms are a blend of geometric and organic elements. The colour palette varies from work to work but most often only a few tones are continuously united in a new way. Since 2007, Olav Christopher Jenssen is professor of painting at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Braunschweig in Germany.
