Come by the museum this Easter and do something fun with family and friends. This year, the program is extra filled with exciting activities for everyone who is on holiday. In addition, the museum is open on Easter Monday 10 April.


Easter program 2023

EASTER HOLIDAY WORKSHOP

8–16 April at 11 am–3 pm
The variety is great among the figures we can find in the picture books. Human characters, talking animals, or something solely based on forms. Let your imagination run wild and create your own characters in this year's Easter holiday workshop! Read more

GUIDED TOURS FOR FAMILIES

11 & 13 April at 2 pm
The guided tour for families is a playful way to experience the exhibition and together we head out on a journey to discover the world of picture books. Read more

PICTURE BOOK READING FOR CHILDREN

12 April at 11.30 am
Welcome to the museum for a moment of reading aloud. We look at pictures and read one of the books in the exhibition. Read more

ADULT READ ALOUD

12 April at 3 pm
Throughout time, people have listened to stories, both children and adults. But how often do grown ups read aloud to each other today? We invite adults to an occasion of reading inside the exhibition, followed by a moment for reflection. Read more

CHAT/CREATE

13 April at 5.30–7.30 pm
On one Thursday evening every month, we put one original work from our art archive on display. The work becomes the starting point of the workshop and conversations. In April, we take a closer look at a watercolour painting by Åsa Pröjts. Read more

FLYING BLUEBERRIES

14 April at 10.30 am–12 noon
A playful, blueberry purple workshop for the very smallest children (6–24 months) and their accompanying adults. Pre-booking is required. Read more

GRUND / LONEY DEAR

14 April at 8 pm
Enjoy a concert at the museum! On stage is none other than singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Loney dear. The exhibitions are open in the evening with free admission and the restaurant offers delicious food and drinks. It is possible to book a seat on the concert bus GBG–Skärhamn roundtrip. Read more

OPEN ON EASTER MONDAY

On Easter Monday, 10 April, the museum is open. It's the last week to view the exhibitions Beyond the Lines and Colour Fictions – from the Museum Collection.
