Adult read aloud

  • The exhibition
Two people sitting on a sofa and reading a book together

Throughout time, people have listened to stories, both children and adults. But how often do grown ups read aloud to each other today?

Picture books often have a dual audience. The typical reading situation is where a child listens to an adult reading out loud, perhaps at bedtime. They are both looking at the image, but do they see the same thing?

We invite adults to an occasion of reading and talking inside the exhibition. With the art as our starting point, we explore how the pictures corresponds with the text. The reading is followed by a moment for conversation and reflection.

Entrance ticket to the exhibition is required. No pre-registration.
