We are delighted to reveal a brand-new addition to the museum’s collection.
To mark our 25th anniversary, artist Lars Lerin has depicted The Nordic Watercolour Museum in a new work created especially for the occasion. The piece was presented during our anniversary celebration on 14 June and is now on view as part of our ongoing exhibition showcasing selected works from the collection.
Lars Lerin holds a special place in the museum’s history. He has previously had two major solo exhibitions – first in 2003 and later in 2014. This new work is a tribute to the long-standing collaboration between the artist and the museum.
You are warmly welcome to see the museum through the artist’s eyes – daily from 11 am to 5 pm until 7 September 2025.

In the summer of 2025, we present a selection from the Museum Collection, including works by Georg Guðni Hauksson, Arne Isacsson, Lars Lerin, Maria Nordin, Carl Wargh and Christine Ödlund.

The collection is a essential and vital part of the museum. We explore the possibilities of watercolour and spread knowledge about how artists today and throughout history have used water and pigments to create art. You can read more about the collection here on the website.
