info
In this lecture, Angelica Olsson talks about the role of contemporary art today, and together we explore the ever-increasing phenomenon of art activism. We discuss the recurring question: What is art good for when anything and everything can be called art? During the lecture, we look more closely at the art world from a broader perspective, and try to understand some of the major challenges that art, artists and museums face today.

About the series
Lectures on Contemporary Art 2024
The Nordic Watercolour Museum and Friends of The Nordic Watercolour Museum invite you to a series of lectures on the theme of Contemporary Art. The lecturer provides insights into the kind of art that often requires more information than fits inside a frame. Refreshments will be provided by the museum, and there will also be opportunities to continue the discussion. All the lectures are on the main theme but can be enjoyed separately. Welcome to join like-minded art enthusiasts and gain some fascinating insights.
