During the weekend of 8–9 July, traffic in Södra hamnen is closed to make room for the approximately 20 000 enthusiasts who will visit Skärhamn during Träbåtsfestivalen ("the Wooden Boat Festival").

We are closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, but otherwise we are open according to regular opening hours (Tuesday–Sunday 11 am–4 pm).

Skärhamn is full of life during the summer! The parking lot in front of the museum might get crowded, but within 5–10 minutes walking distance you can find more spots that also offer beautiful walkways to the museum.
