Contemporary Art – a way to understand the world and ourselves
This event has passed

info
Contemporary art wants us to think and feel along new lines. It encourages us to make subjective interpretations, emphasising that we are all entitled to our own take on what art is. But is that possible? How can we interpret a language we often don’t understand? Are there tools that can help a wider museum audience understand the contemporary style and feel included in the discussion?
This digital lecture with Angelica Olsson focuses on artworks, artists and artistic expressions that are constantly changing. We focus on perhaps the most characteristic aspects of Western contemporary art today: attempts to capture the zeitgeist, to problematise, discuss, engage and often provoke, by overturning our perception of what art is, and what art ought to be.
Please note that the lecture is held in Swedish.
