Finally, a smaller selection from the museum's collection is also shown upstairs, under the heading Life, Death, and Art. Here, you can also sit down to draw or play a game of chess.

Upon paying your entry fee at the reception, you will receive an information folder to take with you. The exhibition features texts about the various presentations and individual artists. An audio guide is also available, providing insights into the artists and specific works. Listen to the audio guide here. You can of course also read more about the respective exhibition here on the website.
Last but not least, join a guided tour. These are held every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, and are always included in the admission fee.

- Is there more to do nearby?
Tjörn is an island rich in culture and activities! Besides swimming at the nearby beach or having an ice cream at the guest harbour, you can explore outdoor life and more art experiences nearby. We recommend visiting Sculpture in Pilane or Sundsby Säteri. Those with the opportunity should also visit the world-famous Pater Noster lighthouse on the horizon. Make sure to check the municipality’s events calendar to discover all the events on the island.
Tjörn – Island of Art
On Tjörn we love art and nature. From the jetty at The Nordic Watercolour Museum, you can dip your paintbrush in water while you dip your toes in the sea. From the cliffs of the historic landscape of Sculpture in Pilane, you can gaze out over the sea with the sculpture Anna by your side. Across the water stands Pater Noster, the king of lighthouses, where you have a world-class design hotel that offers you a home on the horizon.
